Nikki, what are you even doing, girl.

I can’t decide if I like Calum because he’s Calum or because I can picture Colin playing him pefectly. Not that Colin is like Calum even though in some ways he is, I think, it’s just the things Calum says and the way Nikki describes him and all these other contributing factors make me like him more and more. I like to think that even if I didn’t know Colin was going to play this character, I’d like Calum just as much, but I’m not so sure that’s true. Is that terrible to say? I mean, honestly if it wasn’t for the fact that Colin’s going to be in the film adaption, I probably wouldn’t have read this book if I just found it in a store and read the back. I don’t usually like books like this, but Jane Rogers’ writing is really a bit fantastic and even though Nikki is flawed in many ways, I like her, as well.

Have any of you read this book? When I get done with it, I really want to talk to someone about it.
